Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Art is made by many different kinds of people from various states and countries. Art is more than just paintings it is also sculptures, music, dance, film, theater, literature, and visual artwork. (Hook) Jamaica is one of the vibrant Caribbean regions which is home to a great assortment of arts and history that provided life to it all. Jamaican art started in 1917 it still is changing til this day in various ways. Many of studies have stated that in the beginning work of the history of Jamaica art, the delicate art of indigenous Tanio Indians. These Indians were the ones who colonized a number of Caribbean islands. These islands have various of artwork from ancient times to the present era that the island is currently known for this day.(Bridge) Like the country itself, Jamaican art is unique with many cultures and artist's who helped establish different types of art. Some questions that will be answering are How does art represent each culture in Jamaica? What are some cultures who help create art? What artists created unique are pieces?(Thesis)

I like how you gave information about art as your introduction. I also like how you transitioned into talking about your country and how art got started there. Your thesis Is also easy to understand and I can clearly point out what your essay will be about. Overall I think your introduction is great because it is not too wordy, and it gets right to the point.
